Here are the highlights of Brave & BAT partnerships.

Before we jump in, I will give you a brief overview of BAT and Brave.

Brave is a privacy-oriented, fast web browser that uses the Basic Attention Token, (BAT), cryptocurrency. It also offers a platform for digital advertising powered by blockchain, such as Brave.

Brave browser users can enjoy faster browsing and more secure web experiences. Brave Browser users are able to give BAT tokens to their favourite content creators and can opt-in for privacy-preserving Brave Ads in order to get more.

Brave & BAT, in general, are changing the way content creators and publishers monetize content. They also provide a more enjoyable browsing experience for their users.

More Details on Partnerships

1. WayBack Machine

February 2020: The WayBack Machine and Brave Browser formed a partnership in order to eliminate “page not Found” error messages. Brave Browser desktop customers will never again see the message as they have an option to direct them to an archived version. Brave Browser desktop users are further enhanced by this partnership.

The WayBack Engine is an archive digital of the World Wide Web that was established by the Internet Archive back in 2001. It allows users to search more than 418,000,000 web pages, which have been stored over time.

2. TAP Network

March 10, 2019,Brave Browser, TAP Network. Brave desktop users will be able to use Basic Attention Tokens(BAT) to get real-world rewards at over 250,000 of the top merchants and brands within the TAP Network. Brave users can now redeem token utility tokens for real-world rewards. This collaboration connects Brave brand users with a wider audience.

TAPNetwork offers rewards-as a-service marketplace technology company. It aims to provide everyday consumers with rewarding opportunities. TAP Network is a platform that connects customers with 250,000 partner brands in entertainment, retail and travel. TAP Network customers can earn points and redeem them for future purchases.

3. Access79

December 21, 2019,Basic attention token (BAT), and Access79 have partnered to offer Brave fans customized limited edition BAT rings. Access79 advertises on Brave’s platform since September 2019. It also entered the partnership to help Brave promote its jewelry website as well as the Brave Browser.

Access79 allows you to try before buying luxury jewelry. It offers both buyers and gifters an alternative way of shopping for jewelry. Access79 jewelry features high-quality material from independent designers throughout the United States as well Canada.

4. Yubico

28 August 2019, Brave Browser and Yubico have partnered to offer Yubikey support in Brave for iOS. Yubico’s Yubikey authenticates your identity and verifies that the site where you log in is legitimate. Brave now provides phishing-resistant authentication through this partnership with the YubiKey for Brave users.

Yubico a top provider of hardware authentication keys — devices that secure logins for online accounts against phishing, man in the middle, and other threats to account takeover. Yubico’s Yubikey has been used to secure over 4,000 businesses and some of the most recognizable brands around.

5. Cheddar

January 29, 2019 –Cheddar & Brave Browser have joined forces to give Brave Browser users free access to premium Cheddar content. Brave Browser customers will be able to access premium Cheddar content automatically for 3 months thanks to this partnership. Brave Browser users who visit Cheddar.com automatically get access to live Cheddar feeds.

Cheddar has a strong post-cable networks news and media company. Its programming is available on 60% smart TVs across the US as well as Facebook. Sling TV and DirecTV NOW are available for Cheddar, as is Hulu, YouTube TV. Snapchat. fuboTV. Philo. Twitch.

February 29, 2019,XDA has partnered up with Brave Browser in order to promote Brave, and encourage Brave’s large community of web developers to switch over to Brave Browser. XDA urges web developer members of its site to switch to Brave Browser.

XDA Designers was designed by developers. It is a useful website for developers. It is an open-source site for developers, featuring discussions about Android, Windows Mobile and other topics.

7. Dow Jones Media Group

April 18, 2018,Dow Jones Media Group joined Brave Browser to give Brave users premium content and test Brave’s blockchain-based financial technology. Brave users received the free premium content on a first-come first-serve basis. Barron’s as well as MarketWatch became Brave publishers through the agreement.

Dow Jones Media Group delivers news and business information worldwide to individuals and businesses. The company’s content is available in print, digital and mobile formats, and can also be used live at events. Dow Jones, a newsgathering company with the longest history in 130-years, is one of the most important worldwide.

8. Townsquare Media

May 3, 2018.Townsquare formed a partnership with Brave Browser in order to test and monetize digital advertising based on blockchain technology. Brave’s advertising blocking technology is very interesting to Townsquare, so Brave has partnered with Townsquare in order to engage ad blockers. The partnership will offer visitors to Townsquare Media that use ad blocker technology a chance to switch to Brave Browser.

Townsquare Media has been established to be the leading local media and entertainment platform for both small and medium-sized markets in the United States.

9. Civic

September 21, 2018,Civic partners with Brave for identity verification on Brave’s publisher platform. Brave’s verified publisher can use Civic to verify their identity and to get other KYC (know your customer) services.

Civic (CVC) is a cryptocurrency project that offers blockchain identity-verification technology that allows consumers to authorize the use of their identities in real-time. Civic’s goal is to offer low-cost and on-demand identity verification services through the blockchain.

10. HTC Exodus 1

December 11th, 2018:HTC partnered with Brave in order to allow HTC Exodus 1 users to surf the internet using its ad blocking Brave web browser. Brave Browser is now the default web browser for HTC phones. HTC smartphone users will quickly become familiarized with Brave. It can also help the company grow its user base.

HTC Exodus1 is an innovative crypto phone which combines smartphone functionality with security features such as a wallet. HTC Exodus 1 phone users are able to buy, store and receive crypto assets without any risk.

11. YouTube Stars: Bart Baker, Philip DeFranco

April 27, 2018. YouTube’s stars Bart Baker (left) and Philip DeFranco (right) have joined forces with Brave Browser to help promote Brave, the Basic Attention token platform and a brand new model that connects creators with audiences. Baker and DeFranco both have more than 10 million YouTube subscribers and six million respectively. They have also expressed their desire to find new funding sources for their activities through Brave, BAT and other platforms.

Bart Baker currently has more than 10 million YouTube subscribers and is experiencing severe YouTube monetization issues. Baker believes Brave and the BAT programs will significantly help him make money from his content.

Philip DeFranco currently has more than 6 million YouTube subscribers and has told his followers that Brave gives him a better, quicker, and safer browsing experience.

12. The Giving Block

October 4, 2019.The Giving Block partnered with Brave for ad inventory, and to test the use of their partner nonprofits and charities. Brave Browser users now have the ability to easily donate via the Brave Browser to any number of nonprofits and charities.

The first and only way for charities to accept Bitcoin donations is through the Giving Block. With an automated sell function that turns crypto donations into cash, The Giving Block allows these organisations to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. Additionally, The Giving Block provides nonprofits and charities with access to a new market for donors by allowing them to be crypto-holders.

13. Everipedia

October 30, 2019.Everipedia have entered into an agreement with Brave. Brave will be featured on Everipedia. Everipedia Ads will also appear in the Brave Browser. Brave and Everipedia are collaborating to build both their brands within respective communities.

Everipedia – The world’s most popular peer-to-peer, blockchain-based encyclopedia. It incentivizes content authors by making them participants in the knowledge database. The “fork” is Wikipedia. Established in 2015, it already boasts millions of unique monthly visitors and millions of Wiki articles.

October 3rd, 2019:Brave and Uphold have teamed up to offer a wallet where users can earn Basic Attention Tokens for browsing Brave. Brave users can earn BAT tokens for browsing Brave. They will then be able convert these BAT tokens into many digital assets or fiat currencies by signing up to Uphold’s digital money platform.

Uphold offers customers worldwide easy access to digital and traditional currencies. More than 1 million people use the platform, which has enabled transactions in excess of $5 billion across 184 countries. This includes more than 50 currency pairs and four commodities.
