If Opera crashes

To restore Opera to its original state, there are several steps that you can take. Opera can help with future browser problems by sending Opera a crashlog. By doing this, we can assist others who might be facing the same problem.

Opera may crash. A dialog will appear asking if you would like to submit a problem report. This report will include technical information and comments about the incident. Opera is made more stable and reliable by this data. In the text box, provide details of what you did with Opera when it crashed and then click on Send report.

Restarting the browser app does not fix the problem. You might want to install a newer version. You should make sure you have a backup of your Opera files prior to installing.

Clean install Opera

  1. You can uninstall Opera on your computer.
  2. Delete your Opera profile data.
  3. The latest Opera version is available.
  4. Your new clean version is now available.

If you are able to resolve the problem with a clean install, copy your backups into your Opera profile. Removing browsing data can fix Opera’s crash.

Report a problem with Opera if it crashes still. Use.zip or.rar to compress your Opera profile folder and attach it with your bug report. Notify Opera if you locate the file responsible for Opera’s crash.
