Microsoft’s Edge browser for macOS was teased yesterday by Microsoft, but download links are now available online. WalkingCat, a Twitter user discovered the official Microsoft links for the Chromium-powered Canary versions of Edge for Mac as well as the weekly Dev builds. Microsoft is working on Mac keyboard shortcuts and has experimented with button placement to make its browser feel like an app.
Microsoft will also add Touch Bar support. This includes media control sliders, and the ability of switching tabs using the Touch Bar. Microsoft plans to introduce the same user interface to Windows. The macOS Edge version also has rounded corners for tabs. Microsoft just released new privacy controls and Collections features for Edge. These allow users to collect images and text from the internet. Although these new features won’t be available for the Mac version yet, Microsoft plans to make them available in both Windows and macOS.
The Microsoft servers have now made the links live so it is safe to assume that Edge for Mac will soon be available. Here are the Microsoft download links if you do not want to wait.
